Pet Mother Fucking Peeve...

Alright.

Call me dumb. Call me ignorant. Call me a pig hater. Call me anti-american.  I dislike cops. Maybe I just don’t like authority. Maybe I just am bitching for no reason.

This is a more vulgar part to my upcoming post.

I am just SICK of cops on their cell phones, and yet it seems I get caught all the time. What makes them all high and mighty?  What allows them to be on a laptop and a on cell phone at the same time while trying to keep order while patrolling?  I don’t think so.  

If I’m not allowed to use my cell phone, they shouldn’t either, not while driving… Grr.

Why is it that the majority of comments made on popular digg articles just mirror that of childish statements made in close and friendly company? I feel that I digg down about 70% of the comments I read because they are unrelated, ignorant, and incongruous.

Sometimes I find myself wondering if there will come a day when rather intelligent people will come to the online world.

RIAA/MPAA

I am still not entirely sure these organizations should be allowed to exist.

It’s hard to believe the amount of power that they have in the government already, and how much they can control who gets funding.

Recently, in the Higher Education bill (HEA §494),

Sec. 494 Each eligible institution participating in the federal aid program shall:

• provide annual disclosure/warnings to the students applying for or receiving financial aid, stating that:
  • P2P file sharing may subject them to civil and criminal liability;
  • summary of penalty for violation of copyright laws;
  • University’s policy of disciplinary action for using university’s IT for unauthorized downloads; and
  • the actions that the University takes to detect such activities;
• develop plans for offering alternative to illegal downloading or P2P distribution; and
• develop plans to deter illegal downloading.

Ridiculous. Really. Now colleges/universities must come up with a plan to distribute files to their network users. With what money? Is the government going to take money out of it’s Iraq funding to help with this? Or, like most times, is the end-user (students, who are poor enough as is) going to take more of a hit for this?

I’m just not sure when this is all going to end.

Computer Loss

I hate being without a computer. I have really thought about trading in my current computer for a laptop actually, but I’m not sure that anyone would really go for it. Just something about having a computer and being connected.  Maybe I’m just that physically, socially inept?

Caffeine

Ah boy. I was just looking at the caffeine levels of drinks. My “venti” coffee in my mug is probably about 400mg. A guess on the low side. Red Bull has 80mg, but also has more caffeine in preportion to it’s size.  I don’t want to be drinking 4 cups of liquid every time that I want that 400mg.

 If I can find it, I’m going to switch to Fixx, Spike Shooters, Cocaine, and Fuelcells.The amount of caffeine mg/fl oz are all above 25. 

 Sounds perfect, but I may just end up sticking with my good ol’ coffee.
